Polish-American Football...

My dad is the best.  The last two Saturday's I've tuned into MEECHIGAN football via Skype.

At first I felt a little guilty for breaking the cultural immersion, but seriously, football.  Everyone knows it's my favorite sport!

Last week during class, I was talking about American sports and mentioned this obsession of mine.  I think I went on a tangential rant about how terrible my fantasy football team is.  (I don't think, I know).

My world was blown.

Poland has an American Football league.  And, there are teams in Sopot and Gdynia.

Unfortunately, their season ended already and won't start until June/July (leaves a VERY tiny window for me to get a game in).

However, it makes me incredibly happy that people in this beautiful country appreciate such a great sport!  It's definitely not popular...even less so than MLS in the States.

But, I can watch football with the peace of mind knowing that it isn't entirely un-Polish to love American football.
