Walking in a Winter Wonderland

We've been in the midst of a rather beautiful and large snow storm over the past 24 hours.  Probably have around four inches or so of snow.  Since I live so close to the sea, one of the things on my Polish Bucket List was to go see what it looks like right after a large snowstorm.  I did one better, I was there in the midst of a snow storm.

First, winter is about ten degrees colder by the sea than by my flat.  The wind whips considerably stronger and snow drives itself into your eyeballs.  Luckily, my glasses shielded me from most of the pain.  However, I was shocked to watch a man run into the sea in a bathing suit at one point.

The sea was beautiful!  It was incredibly interesting to see the waves wash away snow and reveal sand.  Plus, with the snowstorm and strong winds, the waves were crashing up against the pier and it was everything I had hoped for and then some!!
