Snickers, Skittles, and Twix...oh my!

Walking into a Polish grocery store for the first time a few months ago, I was comforted by familiar sights at the checkout counter: Snickers, Twix, Skittles, and Orbit chewing gum.

Over the course of my time here, I've learned the "correct" pronunciation for these American items.  Unfortunately, if you ask for Skittles, the shop owners think you're speaking french.

So, here is you shopping lesson for the day.

Snickers-Sn-EE-ckers or Sn-ee-ts-krs
Twix-Tv-ee-x
Skittles- Sk-EE-tles
Orbit- Orb-ee-t
